Visiting & Writing Detainees at North Lake (Hope for Neighbors)
Many Trinity members have already supported detainees at the ICE North Lake Processing Center in Baldwin, Michigan through the Hope for Neighbors prayer cards displayed in the church parlor. Building on this effort, the Outreach & Advocacy work area is organizing a Trinity Hope Brigade visitation team from Trinity that will visit detainees at North Lake to offer compassion, encouragement, and human connection.
While none of us speak Spanish, we were inspired by Rev. Dale Daleman’s challenge to step outside our comfort zones in ministry and answer the call to simply show up with open hearts.
Interested in Visiting?:
Hope for Neighbors has a visitation training on Monday May 11, 2026 at 6:30 pm via Zoom. Registration Link: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/K9yFBXe4Q6-Myg3E3Qi3DQ#/registration
Also contact Jim Quinlan to let him know of your interest at (734) 673-2970 or jm-q@live.com. He can provide additional information and answer questions.
